Refunds

When we refund, when we do not, and how to ask.

Last updated 20 August 2026

If it does not work for you, you get your money back. BridgeDrop depends on your network, and there is no way to know that in advance. If it cannot connect on your setup, or is not what this site described, we refund you in full.

What we do not refund is a licence that did the job it was bought for. A transfer that has completed cannot be returned, so finishing what you needed and then asking for the money back is not something this policy covers.

What we refund

In any of these, write to us and you will get a full refund. We would much rather fix the problem first — often it is a firewall rule and takes five minutes — but the choice is yours, and we will not make you argue for it.

What we do not refund

A licence that worked. BridgeDrop delivers its value the moment a transfer completes, and that cannot be given back. Buying it, moving the files you needed to move, and then asking for a refund is not something we can carry — at this price it would simply mean the software could not exist.

Receiving is free forever and needs no licence, so nobody ever has to pay to open a file someone sent them.

How to ask

Email support@bridgedrop.app from the address you used at checkout, or reply to the Stripe receipt you were sent. Tell us what went wrong — not to justify yourself, but because it is often fixable, and because it is the only way we find out what is broken.

Refunds are issued through Stripe, who handled the payment. Money normally reaches your account within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank. That timing is your bank's, not ours.

What happens to your licence

It stops being valid. Your key is only useful with our signature on it, and we stop honouring a refunded key. Please remove it from any computer you installed it on.

Nothing is deleted from your machine and no transfer you already made is affected — files went directly between devices and were never ours to touch.

How long you have

There is no deadline on a product that does not work. If BridgeDrop is not as described, write to us whenever you discover it and we will refund you.

Your legal rights

Nothing here reduces rights you have under consumer law where you live, and nothing here is meant to talk you out of using them. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content, and this policy does not remove it.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Their terms apply to the payment itself; everything about the licence and the software is covered here and in the terms of service.

Chargebacks

Please email us first. A chargeback costs us a fee on top of the money and takes far longer for you to see it. If something is wrong, we would rather hear it from you than from your bank — and if we have got it wrong, saying so is the fastest way to be put right.
