Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Zantech LLC for using BridgeDrop.

Last updated 20 August 2026

In short: BridgeDrop is licensed to you, not sold. You may install it on every computer you own. You may not resell it, share your licence key, or redistribute it. It comes with no warranty, and our liability is limited to what you paid.

The sections below are the actual terms. This summary is not a substitute for them.

1. Who you are agreeing with

BridgeDrop is published by Zantech LLC ("we", "us"). By installing or using the software you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install it.

2. What you are buying

A licence to use the software — not the software itself, and not any ownership in it. Zantech LLC retains all rights not expressly granted here. BridgeDrop is proprietary software.

Payment is one time. There is no subscription and no renewal. Your licence does not expire, and it covers future versions of BridgeDrop.

3. What the licence permits

Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to:

A licence is for one person's own use. If you need licences covering a team or an organisation, write to support@bridgedrop.app.

4. What it does not permit

Nothing in this section limits anything you may do under applicable law regardless of contract — including any statutory right to observe, study or test the software, or to decompile it for interoperability.

5. What you are responsible for

BridgeDrop moves files directly between devices. We never receive, store, or have access to what you send, which means we cannot recover anything for you. It is not a backup service. Keep your own copies of anything you value.

You are responsible for what you send and for having the right to send it. Do not use BridgeDrop to distribute material you have no right to distribute, or that is unlawful where you or the recipient are.

Because transfers are direct and encrypted, we have no ability to inspect, filter, or intervene in them. This is a deliberate property of the design, and it makes the responsibility above entirely yours.

6. Third-party components

BridgeDrop is built on open-source components that remain under their own licences, which these terms do not affect. They are listed in the THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.md file included with the software, available on request from support@bridgedrop.app.

7. Payment and refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe. A licence is delivered and usable immediately, so it is refunded when BridgeDrop does not work on your system or is not as described, rather than after it has done the job it was bought for. The refund policy sets this out in full and forms part of these terms. It does not affect statutory rights you may have as a consumer.

8. No warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR ABLE TO CONNECT ANY TWO PARTICULAR DEVICES, SINCE THAT DEPENDS ON NETWORKS WE DO NOT CONTROL.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ZANTECH LLC'S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SOFTWARE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR IT. WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR BUSINESS.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or liabilities. Where that is the case, the exclusions above apply only to the extent permitted, and nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

10. Ending the licence

Your licence ends if you materially breach these terms — for example, by publishing your key or distributing a modified build. It also ends if you are refunded. In either case, stop using the software and remove it.

You may stop using BridgeDrop at any time. Deleting the application data folder removes everything it kept on your computer.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for future versions. The version in force when you bought your licence continues to apply to that purchase, and the date at the top of this page changes whenever the text does.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Rhode Island, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be settled between us shall be brought in the state or federal courts located in Providence County, Rhode Island.

Nothing here removes protections you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you keep the right to bring proceedings in your own courts.
